- Cleanse your face regularly: It is very important to clean your face every day and sometimes twice a day if there is excess build-up of oils, dirt, and makeup.
- Use gentle cleansers like Cetaphil, which can be found on Amazon!
- Avoid harsh or abrasive cleansers that can irritate the skin.
- Hydrate your skin: It is very important to use moisturizers to keep your skin hydrated. However, be aware that some moisturizers can clog the pores and cause acne. Make sure you look at the label to see if it is "non-comedogenic." You want non-comedogenic moisturizers!
- Dehydrated skin can produce more oil, contributing to acne.
- Hands off your face: It is vital to not pick at your acne bumps. Don’t squeeze them! Hands off your face!
- Choose non-comedogenic products:
- Look for makeup, sunscreen, and skincare products labeled "non-comedogenic" to avoid pore-clogging ingredients.
- Manage stress:
- Practice stress-reducing activities, such as yoga, meditation, or deep breathing exercises.
- Stress can contribute to hormonal imbalances that may trigger acne.
- Balanced diet:
- Eat a well-balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
